  1. DC has chosen floppy sales as the only thing they care about it. We see it time and time again with late trade releases, the extreme amount of control the editors have on the universe, and with the crossover events. I’m not sure why they care so much about the thing that probably matters least in the long run. Good floppy sales aren’t going to lead to blockbuster movies, after all.

  2. I agree with just about everything you said about DC. They definitely are screwing up badly. The one thing I don’t agree with is that Marvel is doing that much better. I definitely read more DC than Marvel so I won’t pretend to have a grasp on everything that is happening in the Marvel world, but the few books I do read (like Guardians of the Galaxy) have the same “good not great” feeling I get from most of the better DC books (like Justice League Dark, Superman Unchained, Dial H, etc). You simply don’t get Saga-quality books from DC or Marvel except very rarely.
